My relationship with art began on a full-size blackboard in our schoolroom. Being homeschooled allowed me to explore drawing all day long in all kinds of ways. I drew my way through my teenage years until personal darkness robbed me of my spark for a while. Getting diagnosed with Bipolar I not only allowed me to receive the proper treatment that brought me back to myself, but helped me to understand myself better, both which shaped who I am as an artist today. It was that huge step that got to a place of stability where I was finally able to take back my love of art and do something with it--so I signed up for classes at Austin Communicty College and before I knew it I had an Associate of Art in Studio Art and now I'm finishing an Assiocate of Applied Science in Graphic Design. I can't wait to see where I go next.
